Does anyone have a definite list of creatures that can be charmed with this spell? E.g. could a mummy, as it is bipedal and man sized?

Read the spell description.

And undead cannot be charmed, Unless you got an evil cleric using turn undead.

Or the spell [Control Undead] . Couldn't edit my post.

lol I have read the description, but its list is not definitive:

"The term “person” includes any bipedal human, demihuman, or humanoid of mansize or smaller, such as brownies, dryads, dwarves, elves, gnolls, gnomes, goblins, half-elves, halflings, half-orcs, hobgoblins, humans, kobolds, lizard men, nixies, orcs, pixies, sprites, troglodytes, and others."

Notice the 'and others' bit.

Thanks for telling about the undead being immune though, that will come in handy.

Well that list could be several pages long, If you wanted all creatures in DnD. If you're just thinking about the game, Then anything high level will save vs the spell, You can't touch undead. And there are better versions (Dominate) to use.

Ok how about some specific questions then to narrow down the list.

Would it work on a golem?

How about a shadow?

A werewolf - its part man and bipedal?

I think dopplegangers may be immune, but I'm not 100% sure.

Golem - Is a construct, Dosn't affect them.

Shadow - Is an undead.

Werewolf - Are immune to it, And immune to alot of other spells aswell.

Dopplegangers - It might actually be able to affect them, But wouldn't suprise me if they were immune as werewolfs.

[Edited] : Werewolfs and Wolfweres have innate resistance to alot of things, certain spells, magic and elementals.

Shadow should definitely not be undead. Its one of those creatures that were put in to mess with clerics who try to turn undead all the time...

Shadow and shadow fiends, Also including wraiths and vampiric etc etc. Can all be turned by turn undead, and are indeed undeads.

Then i'm thinking about wolfweres? With their innate immunities, atleast some of them to magic?

But great to know!

Wolfweres can be charmed too, but they do have 50% magic resistance.

Yeah... that's how I took care of the vampiric ones on the first level of Watcher's Keep. Turn Undead from a lvl 30 Anomen, boom!

The ones that spawn in the last battle of Throne of Bhaal might not be turnable. I never had any luck with them, at least (couldn't turn the bone fiends at the end either).
