I'm new to the forums, even though I played NWN + expansions and NWN 2. Today, I noticed Dragon Age. I've been reading some things about it, I wonder why I'm not seeing hype about this game!

Anyway, I have some questions that I couldn't find the answer to, and I hope you can help me

(1) Are there any pictures of Dragon Age? Even if they're very early sketches or fan art.

(2) Is there some page where there is written some objectives/aims that this game will try to have? [Except for the BioSpeak topic, I read that]

(3) How long has DA been being worked on?

(4) Even though Bioware can't say when the game will be released, we can "predict" like whether the game will be out in 2008 or 2009, just like we do with other games.

Thank you very much!

PS: Sorry if my English is not very good, I'm from Malta, if you know where that is

There isn't a lot of 'hype' about this game just yet because nothing has been shown extensively although we're promised that the hype machine (available from IKEA) will start running soon.

If you want to see artwork then check out this link:

http://www.dragonagecentral.com/

It's an amazing site and should have answers to most if not all of your questions from previous dev posts.

DA has been in development for quite a while (since 2003/4 I think?) but since it's a brand new shiny IP and using a brand new also very shiny engine then you'll see why.

As for a release date, that's currently unknown - to be honest, I don't think even the devs have a clear idea of when it's going to be released as they've mentioned on more than one occassion so I guess it's wait and see.

I know where Malta is. Welcome to the forum!

I think DA has been worked on for 5 years. Or maybe 4, something like that. Though it feels like an eternity...

Tiny island south of Sicily.

Is it under Itialian or British juristiction??

Also, Per developers posts, tid bits are leaked out from time to time about Dragon Age simply because it is in developement and the game itself isn't ready for publicity.
The reason is that many of the games features aren't necessarily gonne be in the final product and they don't want to release false or misleading information about the game before they, the developers know for sure how the game will be.

I visited Malta once (I even went to Gozo). They had great bread and very good beer (Cisk lager).

Um, I'd say something about Dragon Age but I haven't really learned anything since they stopped doing puzzles.

Yea, there has actually been LESS infomation released on the forums about dragon age since mass effects release than in the few months before-hand.
Still, they said we will hear more about DA after mass effect comes out, so im betting we will get some screenshots or an updated main page by the end of january.

Yeah, my guess is that at this point, we'll have to wait until the buyout is finalized, which would be (as you say) the end of January at the earliest.

Yes.

Yes.

Probably five years so far. It's quite a neat world and the story is rather intricate.

You can do whatever you like. This one really isn't a question.

that was easy!

In case you didn't find it, the answer to those questions is here.
