First be sure to view the first and second versions of the Multiplayer threads (still stickied) before posting. As before, feel free to post everything from questions about how to get multiplayer working properly in BG2 to requesting other people to come join your game (or you to join theirs).

Enjoy!

Does NAT (Curse it. Just curse it!) affect to BG 2 multiplaying? as I've read that it doesnt have actual servers, but uses plain TCP/IP protocol to transfer necessary data between computers..

yay, just reinstalled BG 2 it's addicting..... like.. Pepsi Max.

I recommend TCP/IP protocol. My partners and I have used it for three years now and have no problems of ny consequence. Just make sure the host has a constant IP address that never changes to avoid having to give the new one to partners everytime you play. Good hunting.

You and your friends are in for a treat and some pleasant surprises. Just play the classes you are most comfortable with. You can import the others such as Lessa, the best NPC thief in the game by far. She arrives at level 20. Daria, one of the very best mages in the game is also availlable to import. You can also play as twins. I usually take one of the SP NPCs until their quests are finsihed, then drop that one and take another. So many options and different ways to play MP, I am amazed that most gamers still play Single Player which pales in comparasin to MP. Good hunting.

To start with they are and unless you create one at level 20, that character will never catch up with the game NPCs that start at level 20.

Lessa, a thief, Daria, a mage, and Rothgar, a cleric can all be imported if you have TOB onstalled. They are not mods, but BioWare NPCs. Just hit create character, then import, then select TOB mage, thief, or cleric. All three of these make great NPCs. You will have no dialogue with them, but all three are very effective. Good hunting.
