Devilish creatures of heartless evil, Troglodytes delight in feasting on their defeated enemies and thus carry a variety of exotic mustards and other condiments at all times. Although cunning and fierce in battle, when the Troglodyte is angry or frightened they secrete an oily musk-like substance similar to what you smell at gaming conventions and LAN parties. The Trog is a new critter appearing in the upcoming NWN update.

They look pretty good to me, not really like kobolds... the kobolds had realistic jaws (no offense, these look great, but no reptile in the real world commonly has a distended lower jaw, they'd starve. Good thing it's not the real world ) and much longer snouts
I'm just glad to see more official content, BioWare has been putting out awesome content for NWN and I hope they continue to until the community moves over to NWN2 |

If you look Troglodytes up in the Monster Manual, they honestly don't look all that different from Kobolds really. They're a lot like a beefed up version of them.
I, for one, am glad to see them being added to NWN. They were always a staple monster, to me, when I used to play AD&D. _________________ It really is that simple. |

I have 1.64 beta 2 installed but can't see the trog in the monster palette so I wonder if they mean it will be in the 1.64 patch or some other kind of update. A DD update perhaps? Any know for sure? |

My best memory of trogs is from the PnP module, Forge of Fury. There's a big nest of them on a lower level. When the PCs I GM'd stumbled onto them they threw oil in, blocked the cave entrance, and fled. They returned later to clean up, but the trogs were ready for them. I remember it took the PCs several forays into the trog lair before genocide was complete.
Calgacus: critters and other content aren't in the beta. They will be in the final update though. _________________ Johnn Four BioWare Web Monkey #4 Mass Effect - BioWare's sci-fi action RPG now available |

What's the "Agressive" special ability? How does that translate into NWN? Interesting! The more new monster models, the better! Keep them coming! Any chance at other reptillian creatures, like the Naga, Ophidian, various Yuan-ti types, etc? Yes, I recently got the "Serpent Kingdoms" Handbook... -Schatten |

I think that the special ability listed is more of a saucy way of saying they do not have any special abilities apart from being angry. |

If it worked for The Hulk, I'm sure it can work for the Trogs. _________________ It really is that simple. |

Hey,
I am quite happy. We haven't seen anything new for NWN in months. I went into withdrawal and even pretty mcuh ceased posting here. I barely recognize any of the names anymore.
So, anyhow, keep up the good work. Don't forget about us. |

Woo, they look really good. I'm sure to employ these for my devious DM'ing!
I'm glad to see some new content from Bioware, and I hope to see more of these in the future. |
