The Confederation of Planes & Planets is a group of linked NWN persistent worlds that players can seamlessly adventure in and travel through. CoPaP's goal is to create the entire D&D setting in Neverwinter Nights, piecing together every plane, planet, wildspace area, and every campaign setting, both official and unofficial. We spoke with some of the head honchos of these worlds to get a better idea of what they have set-up for our gaming giddiness.

WHOOOOOOOOO WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO WHOOOOOOO!

(come on.. you know your all doing that on the inside)

*head explodes from blood rush bwhaha*

Will there be a location somewhere, be it NwN gamespy or NwN connections where the locations of these servers will be posted. (if there is not already) so that a potential player may select a server to best start off in. Also, is there a set rule sheet of what modafications will be in effect on these servers. I assume they follow the same guidlines for all servers.

Very nice...very nice indeed. This is something that a lot of players will appreciate, I'm sure. I know that there's some good minds backing some of this (props to the heavily-Canadian-populated team behind Thay, the Unapproachable East").

All the more power to CoPaP for setting about pulling all of these things together. I'm sure the community is going to enjoy it.

That's a lot of dedication and good work. I just wish others builders would follow suit, and make some less-hardcore server universes.

A very nice and interesting project.

I noticed, however, one of the worlds listed on the development uses the Player Resource Consortium pack. Does this mean the Confederation is considering adopting this pack?

If so, I am very, very interested in getting involved with these worlds

No, CoPaP is not slated to use the PrC pack. There's a few reasons, but the biggest one is that the amount of work it would take to integrate it with our already existing systems and code is too huge.

We had a short public discussion about it awhile ago: Click Here

Hey there, someone suggested your servers in a thread the other day, and then when they were profiled today, I decided that I need in

I have yet to get a confirmation email though so I can activate my forum account, which seems to be the first step. Unless someone can just activate it for me? *sweet smile*

Beyond that, it seems sort of hard to dig out info on some stuff. For example, I was trying to find which server would be the best to start a tiefling on, and it seems like maybe Hala, however you can't get into the Hala webpage to even read up on it without an activation code? So it's a little hard to get the lowdown and find out what's what first befor sending in an application of what you'll be playing, if you don't know what's available. (For example, if I went tiefling, does this take up one of my 3 classes? In one search a thread said something about having Outsider as a class?)

Also, I didn't find what the "general" rules and restrictions were for things like resting limits, and how much magic you can have on your person.

The locations of the servers I am pretty sure are listed on the CoPaP website, www.copap.org. However my persistent world, the Moonshae Isles, as well as the others listed are technically not up yet, but they will be soon. If you can't find the IPs on the website, they should all be in PW Story with CoPaP in front of the server names. Thanks for the warm reception.

We're looking forward to meeting you folks, so come on down. We have a huge, incredibly detailed, immersive, sophisticated cluster of worlds linked together to form something truly amazing. More worlds are joining CoPaP all the time, and the existing worlds are under continual development to maximize your gaming enjoyment. I can't recommend CoPaP highly enough.

Indeed of the connected worlds Hala is probably one of the best places to start a teifling. Avlis for example has no native teifling PC race, however because of the structure that underlies CoPap it is supported when you travel over from Hala to Avlis.

Avlis, and Copap in general all require applications to be filled out to play, you can get access to most of the forums without the application, but once your application is approved, you will recieve IP's and passwords to all active CoPap servers.

Well yes and No...Each world is autonomous, however what is common between all the worlds is an emphasis on Roleplay, hence the XP and item rewards may not be what you have experienced on other PW's but tend to be much lower than average. However each world within the guidelines of the Articles of Confederation, can do what they wish.

Avlis has a players handbook that is downloadable from its website, it outlines the rules as they stand there, those rules are a very good start for each world, but there will be minor differences between them.
