Tired of tripping over your beard in every adventure as a dwarf? Looking to play something that can arm wrestle a half-orc, play footsie with an elf, and disembowel a zombie all at the same time? The CEP offers two new races for your playing enjoyment, and this week we profile the majestic wemic. Included in the profile are 22 customizable character files for download!

Bane, can you provide a few more details about the problem you're experiencing? Did you download the zip archive or the self-installer? _________________ Johnn Four BioWare Web Monkey #4 Mass Effect - BioWare's sci-fi action RPG now available |

The self installer the only files that work are the monk, bard, druid, and rogue. The rest are bunk.
Zip file works fine though. |

Wednesdays boring? Maybe, but I was expecting yet another epic build, I certainly didn't expect to hear about wemics and CEP Well, it's summer, summers are meant to be boring, right?
Oh, and the profile says the race is in Monsters of Faerun. ::reaches for the book and browses:: Well, gosh, I learn something new every day, I was expecting that this race was in a Supplement That I Definitely Don't Have. D&D rulebooks are interesting in that they're full of all sorts of unlikely creatures you've never heard of. _________________ - Weyfour WWWWolf "Thou art a thief and a scoundrel. Hey Kalinaar,
The initial self installer did indeed have a problem (the character file names were too long), a new one was uploaded shortly after your post correcting the problem.
The original installer used character names using this pattern: "wemic_female_xxxxxx.bic" or "wemic_male_xxxxxx.bic"
which were renamed in the new installer to this pattern: "wemic_f_xxxxxx.bic" or "wemic_m_xxxxxx.bic"
These files are located in the "localvault" directory of your NWN install folder.

I actually ran into the problem that when I change there skin, hair or tatoo colors the bottom half turns silver. If you go ahead and make the change it still works just fine. I never had a problem with changing the clothing however although I may have gotten the same silver thing happening but I ignored it and went about changing the armor and so on without a problem.
The files were meant to make using the Wemic easier for players who are obvuiously not quite at the technical level you folks seem to be. We want people using the CEP because it darn cool and using the new Wemic race is a part of that. |

Hi there.
Just a couple of things here.
Firstly.....
Question : In the demo Alignment Changer Module which comes with these new Wemic Races, what type of creature is used there?
I have not seen this type before, so I am very unfamilar with it/him. He looks kind of goblin like to me, (but with a more evil appearence than the last lot) maybe he's some kind of relative, or somethng twice removed.
Secondly.....
I've had something on my mind for a short time, regarding all these epic builds.
Has anyone ever considered making a module (either for single or multiplayer) so that a bunch of us nwn fans can pick a preffered epic character, and then use it in a game?
As a personal preference, I think it would be quite interesting to play them online, as it would be interesting to see what other players chose, and how well you would get on in a team, besides other things which I can't really think of right now.
I realise that at level 40, I suppose there wouldn't be much point in going in search of something to kill, for the xp, but it might still be fun, just for the hell of it.
On the other hand, if you wanted a bit of a challenge, you could choose one of the 20th level charcaters, and have some fun with that until you reach level 40.
If anyone had been inspired to do anything like this, I certainly would be interested

Yeah, same here. Enjoying the thought of what the next one might be, (very much) I was half realising we would still get more epic character builds, and like you, I also never expected to see something on the wemic.
I was very pleasantly surprised when I did though. Especially when I could never get that darn CODI Program to work properly! Oooh the pain!
But it doesn't really matter now. I finally have a playable Wemic, and for that, I have Bioware to thank.
*looks up* Thanks Bioware! (or was it the CEP Team who put this together? I suppose it must be, although I'm a little unsure to be honest) _________________ ~Grovel~
