I was wondering if the CEP package will have the creature build, the centuar. One of my favorite races in the AD&D world! If not, I'm hoping someone would create this centaur race as a creature & race to play in NWN. Just my wishlist, thanks CEP for everything so far! |

A quick look through the CEP inventory release shows that the answer is no. The only Centaur on the Vault did not meet quality requirements.
DLA has this in the works, however. _________________ -One of the proud few without a quote in my signature |

What are the dangers of installing this on a large server? Specifically, did you use custom tags so importing the items dont over write a lot of my custom items _________________ Silverti Quicksilver Adventure Island NWN Persistent 24X7 PW Story http://www.adv-island.com |

Having looked through the various pdf's (why pdf instead of .rtf?), even I am thinking about starting a mod or two. Just what I need, more reasons to have NWN up and running 24/7! _________________ Si tu voulais gagner, pourquoi joues-tu avec moi? - M. Loup |

Well met.
Even the very greatest stumble sometimes. The truly great get back up and fly further, and faster than ever before. Having beautifully crafted the anticipation of spending hours with the games called 'Neverwinter Nights', Shadows of Unrentide', and 'Hordes of the Underdark', you may have thought that something called 'Community Expansion Pack' evokes the same wide eyed wonder of what will be. Not really, a tad out of character. A DM may even warn you over the use of such ooc language in their game.
It is not too late to see that you might change the name of the pack to something in more keeping with the true wonder of Neverwinter. Simply, truthfully, say that this was the project name (as it is), and at it nears compeletion and release, start buidling anticipation by calling the expansion 'Dragon Wings of Neverdreams', with the same graphic font rendition of the name as the other packs we cherish.
Blessings. _________________ Phyte. My strength and my heart have been locked for longer than I can remember. Sharwyn. Done, and done.Edited By Phyte on 03/11/04 10:16 |

One of the CEP's primary rules is "Do No Harm." I doubt there will be any problems.
As I recall, the items are added to the palette automagically when you install the hakpak. The resrefs are most likely prefixed with "CEP_*" or some such, so there really are no worries about importing.
If you're already using a hakpak, that may be another matter entirely. You would probably have to do a few things to make sure your hakpak and the CEP play nice together. _________________ You are so convinced that you believe only what you believe that you believe that you remain blind to what you really believe without believing you believe it. |

You are aware that this is not a Bioware project, right? The reason it is called the Community Expansion Pack is that it was made entirely by the NWN community. Bioware has only promoted it as it nears release.
Regardless, it is certainly too late to change the name at this stage in development. _________________ You are so convinced that you believe only what you believe that you believe that you remain blind to what you really believe without believing you believe it. |

A quick question about weapons. It says in the pdf file or whatever that the dragonclaw staff is in Lisa's SoU blah blah. Does this mean that this is the torch version or the staff version that's useable as an acctual weapon. forgive me if the answer is blatalanty in front of my face. _________________ Remember Billy, never put your ring on, or Ringwraths will stab you with knives. If I recall correctly, there are two versions of that staff in Lisa's hak. The torch version and the mage staff version. The CEP probably includes both. I don't know for sure though. _________________ You are so convinced that you believe only what you believe that you believe that you remain blind to what you really believe without believing you believe it. |

What would be the best approach to update your PW with the CEP? As there is likely to be an overlap in content between CEP and the old haks (some merged from other haks) it might be a good idea to clean the haks up and create new hakpacks for the players. Perhaps a tool that looks through the current haks and compares them with CEP and deletes duplicate content? |

hey all, first off id like to say this looks like it will be an awsome release and a big thanks goes out to all who took the time to create the content, and to the CEP team for taking all the peices and making sure they "play nice together".
heres my question. with the download be released as just a plain .hak or will it be in self installer form? the reason i ask is because ive seen that the DL is intended for player created mods. but when i find items or armor or things i like, i like to extract those items from the haks and put them in my override folder so that i can use them in the OC's as well. so im wondering if i will be able to put pieces and parts of the DL into my override or maybe even the whole thing and it not mess up the OC's.
oh and im sure lots of people are wondering, can you give us a projected release date? even a general estimate would satisfy an untold many im sure |
