Brrrrr. Check out the cool Winter
Skies addition to the upcoming Neverwinter Nights update. These skies are replacing
the Stormy set, which will appear in a later update after we do some touch-ups to those tempestuous items.

Oi!
This is a bit confusing.. so in the next patch will get the Stormy skies. In a patch after that the stormy skies will be Cool winter skies? Then why add the stormy skies in the first place? Or will both be added .. darn now I'm confused..

Both will be added in the update. They meant that the winter skies screenshots replaced the stormy skies screenshots on the web page. |

I think this means that the Winter Skies are coming with this next update. Later down the road they will release a new and improved Stormy Sky. So we will have both. |

The Winter Skies will be released in 1.62, the Stormy Skies will be released in 1.63 or later.

Ahh .. my mistake! Misinterpretation and all that.
Anyhow .. these skies look a bit more mm dare I say high-res? It could be an optical illusion caused by the screenshot though. Guess I'll have to wait untill I see ingame. |

Hey skies are great but unless we fix that crashing problem I may never get to see 'em!
Please tell me there is something in this update to at least attempt to address this lock/dump that so many are describing.
Never a crash on NWN, never a crash on SOU, suddenly I don't go long at all without a freeze, followed by a sometimes fun sound loop, followed by a dump out. Same computer no hardware/software changes!
Is it the doubled polygons? I have changed all the settings on my video card (inlcluding anti alias on and AGP speed up and down) and sound card and quit all uneccessary proggies and moved the quality slider up and down.Edited By cooldaddyo on 02/11/04 23:10 |

Perhaps it's your laundry detergant, or your socks are of a mismatched color.
Forgive me for going ON topic but about the skies...
They don't seem much different at all. I can see that one is "Stormy" and one is "Wintery" sortof... but if you stuck all 3 together side by side, they are pretty close to eachother. I was hoping for some more "useful" skyboxes like a one that looks like a forest canopy or a weird "planar" skybox with a couple of planets at night nad 2 suns or somethig during the day but a forest canopy would be great. I'm not sure what a "Desert sky" is going to look like and if its much different than a normal clear day one but an "evil" sky or a "Starlight" one would be great.
I hope the desert one has a lot of bright visible "stars" in the sky at night! |
