Two Hordes of the Underdark creatures are revealed this week! Nothing says 'paladinhood is for chumps' like a giant dragon shaped skeleton. The Adamantine Golem has been also been released to fan sites, and is truly one of the most feared and unstoppable juggernauts in existence!

Nice addition to the game....I just have one question....how is the Draco-lich have CR41 and a Prismatic dragon have only CR36....hmmmmmm.

I think it probably does not matter though. Pretty much everything above 30th level or CR is able to kill anything else above 30th level.....so the CR probably does not mean much...

Hmm. I'd like to see these two fight it out... hehehe...

Dracolich: "I'm all but immune to magic, my spells are more powerful than any mortals, and I have all the advantages of being undead, while ignoring most of the disadvantages!! Mwa ha ha! What have to got to say to that, pathetic construct?"

Adamantine Golem: *Clang Clang Clang*

Dracolich: "Not much for snappy patter, are you?"

The fight of the century... or at least the day!

THink about this...imagine a prismatic dracolich...that might explain the CR upgrade. But also remember Lich's are far tougher in PnP DnD than in NWN. This game has been balanced for two or three players or even one. Sure Prismatic Dragons look cooler, but being an immortal undead Dragon is very cool too and I beat the junk out of it in the game with my epic chraracter who was no where near level 40.

CR is the challenge rating. In the case of the adamantite and the mythril golem, the mythrill golem has a higher CR than the admantite golem. Why? because the mytril golem, though 4 levels lower, has either higher ability scores, or more special abilities or skills or feats (or higher quality). or creater specal abilities. a level 20 npc to my old lvl 20 player, wwas effortless, because my character has a greater ability score, skills and all sorts of stuff. Basicly CR is effected by everything about the character, "averaged" and laid out in a single number. Hope I helped, Hope I'm right.

Abilities and whatevers, eh? Fine... the miths WERE kinda tough in the campaign, too. And a PC's CR is his level, as far as I know.
