The ability to design complicated, engaging, and exciting modules using all the crazy scripting power of the Aurora Toolset is now within reach. A group of talented programmers at the University of Alberta has created the answer to our non-programming dreams - ScriptEase! There is also a step-by-step tutorial with lots of screenshots to get you started on this powerful software.

Downloading the Tutorial now ... this sounds pretty cool. _________________ Stealth For the spirit of comraderie, imagination, fantasy and role-play ... and most importantly, for the spirit that can only be found through Neverwinter Nights, which all of us have created together. |

Hm...it seems alright, I suppose.
The interface is more difficult than Lilac Soul's, but it seems like it has a little more power. Possibly using both of them in combination would be the best option. _________________ -One of the proud few without a quote in my signature |

Well, I'll play around with it, and see how I like it. At first glance I have to agree with Squidget, though. Looks more complicated than LilacSoul's. |

I noticed that the people that made it (students at University of Alberta) have made attempts to improve the pathfinding of Bioware games such as Baldur's Gate. Well maybe not the *same* students, but you know what I mean.
Click Here http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~games/ (See Pathfinding and Bioware under Applied Research)
Which got me wondering: Have there been any changes in pathfinding in HotU? I haven't heard of any, but I would be delighted to see some. |

What crashed? ScriptEase, the ScriptEase installer, or the Java installer? It may be relevant for future releases.

I was a little disappointed with Lilac's. this one seems a bit more complex, but at the same time it's probably more powerful. I'm not exactly sure, i'm just judging by the tutorial... |

Since it's written in Java, is there any chance of seeing Linux and Mac OS X downloads that don't include an installer?
Will source code be made available?

How about working with it for awhile before making needless comments. Seems that Lilac Soul's, though excellent, also adds more than you need since it's general scripting, and trying to guess at what you want to do.
They laughed at the YoYo, but it fed a plethera of Aborigines.
I'll reserve judgement until I've given it a good run-through.
My guess is that NONE of you who've just posted has even read all the tutorial. _________________ Just a hint: Their=Belonging to Them, Your=Belonging to You, You're=You ARE... Get it now? Well, it certainly is more complicated then Lilacs and i have a hard time grasping some of it. Mostly because most of it uses "Techy speech" if this makes any sense. it looks like it has been made by very technical minded people. I do not doubt that its powerful but i wonder if someone who has problem with nwn scripting would want to eat through this tool so he can use it. for future versions i would really love it to be more "dumb friendly". After all it is possible like lilacs editor shows, wich is straight forward and really easy to use.
The one thing i really like about this tool tough is how it handles scripts and how you can sort them in different folders and such, could make bigger modules easier to navigate. |

I could certainly post the jar file along with a few instructions. Keep an eye on the website.
The project will most likely not go open source since it is still an active research project that we want to keep a firm handle on.
