Champions of Torm are mighty warriors who dedicate themselves to Torm's cause, defending holy ground, destroying enemies of the church, and slaying mythical beasts. Champions of Torm are one of the 6 new Prestige Classes included in Hordes of the Underdark.

Cool new prestige class. Thanks for the information. _________________ Stealth For the spirit of comraderie, imagination, fantasy and role-play ... and most importantly, for the spirit that can only be found through Neverwinter Nights, which all of us have created together. |

I'm really quite impressed for the same reason Apricane was disappointed. As someone who loves playing both the good guy paladin-type and tough guy fighter-type, it'll be nice to get to play a mix of the two... Looks like a great PRC to stick with, too. This isn't just something you'll take for HIPS, or to stack your saving throws, the way it progresses your special abilities and still offers you the same bab and feats every 2nd level as a fighter makes it worth commiting to.
Good job, Bio. Me likes! |

Well, you would expect that an expansion has new stuff. This time, bioware is simply recycling. We are paying for something as simple as a class merged from two already existing classes. Hmm. But im looking forward to the Pale Master still. I was told I made a perfect portrait for one, so i cant wait to see what kind of class they are ;p _________________ Indeed there is a fourth dimension, I have visited the fifth myself |

Bioware is not recycling, this is preset D&D stuff already, gods, you new comers make me ill sometimes. D&Ds been around 30 years and if you dont requinze the Divine Champion and youv been playing REAL D&D you worry me.
Anyways awsome PRC, jsut amazing, itll really give the paladins and clerics something to gnaw on for a change |

Im not a newcomer. I have played D&D for several years. No need to get personal now, all i say is that there isnt anything new in this prestige class, and i expected to get something new in an expansion. Bad choice for a PrCl if theres nothing new in it but a merge of existing classes. _________________ Indeed there is a fourth dimension, I have visited the fifth myself |

Hmmm... I don't know what the epic levels have in store for regular fighters, but this seems a bit like a super class. Why would you ever take fighter levels over this? What do you loose other than weapon specialization - in return for saving throws, some spell abilities, and some other goodies. |

Uhh, it is new. I mean this is not something that you could do otherwise. I am actually quite excited about this class as I am a chaotic good fighter cleric type and love the divine champoin class, since I don't really like to play paladins. They don't get enough spells for my taste and I have paladins multiclass restrictions that I don't like. I will play this character as a FTR4/CLR8 and then start gaining levels as a divine champion, which makes a far more poerfull character than a paladin clearic combo since I can't take any paladin levels until I don't want to level as a cleric anymore. This gives a huge amount of flexability to divine warriors. This is something completly new.

The abilities isnt new. It would be better to include new class abilities, so the community could customise more. And make more prestige classes. This could have been a community made prestige class.
BTW As a chaotic good fighter/cleric, you wouldnt get Torms support, he is a Lawful Good deity, and one of his portfolios is paladins and duty. _________________ Indeed there is a fourth dimension, I have visited the fifth myself |

It says that the CoT is gets epic levels 21+ right? and you need atleast 7 levels figher/ paliden So this means that you don't get epic bonus feats/ Divine Wrath bonuses until level 27 so you only get epic feats for 13 levels, i think putting you down to bonus 4 feats ...so your divine wrath can only get a max bonus of +9? Not that +9 isn't awsome its just at 13 epic levels seems like a funny odd number to end on |

I am rather disappointed to see prestige classes becomeong more and more Forgotten Realms based... first harper scouts, now Torm toadies... would be nice to see the class book prestige classes over setting specific prestige classes. _________________ SpeakString("I see dead things! I agree that this latest PrC is a little too 'FR specific'. I mean, I realise that HotU's campaign will take place in the Forgotten Realms, but I'm asking for Bioware to realise that most player-made campaigns do/will not take place there.
I mean why not simply go for the 'Divine Champion' instead of specifically mentioning a diety.
The name 'Divine Champion' is vague enough for it not to be too out of place outside of the FR.
As for the PrC itself: Yes! Finally! _________________ Not currently working on any projects. |

no, that's wrong. Epic CoT is at CoT level 11.
but you need to be Character Level 21 to become CoT level 11.
just like all the other prestige classes.
so you can go Fighter 4 / Paladin 6 / Champion of Torm 30, where you get 20 levels of Epic Champion of Torm |
