Shifters have no form to call their own, instead they change into one of many possible shapes, choosing one that is suitable for their current situation. Shifters are one of the 6 new Prestige Classes included Hordes of the Underdark.

It's nice of you to slip in a few of the Epic Feats you're putting into HotU. Automatic metamagic feats, Epic Wildshape feats... Mmmm |

I guess this is as good a time as any to ask something that's been bugging me.
Will shapeshifted druids get the correct creature damage, or will it still be 1-3 +STR?
Related question - Any possibility of druids being eligible for Weapon Proficiency: Creature? |

afaik the '1-3 + Str' is only a display error the real damage should be the same (or at least quite the same) the creature's claws (or whatever else it is using to hit) normally dealEdited By Nauredhel on 09/24/03 20:25 |

When we shapeshift forms will it be possible to keep your spell book intact, considering your WIS/INT hardly change. It's really time consuming and annoying to always refill your spellbook after changing forms. Can't WAIT for Hordes, and what is the sixth PrC, please tell, please. |

That PrC sounds not that strong to play but VERY fun to play I'll play my sorcerer first and probably that one the second time
BTW nice hint on the feats in the description Now I wonder ... if a spell is automaticly silenced will you be able to maximize or empower it while it's silenced? |

Good question... but I've got a cooler one. Considering that shifters will have some of the abilities of the creatures that they polymorph into, and the mindflayer is one of the creatures THAT they can morph into (lvl 20) does this mean that my 40 lvl druid/shifter is going to be able to use the spell like psionic abilities? That's what I'm thinkin. |

There was a new monster type revealed in that incredible shifter description! Harpies! Awesome, I'm tired of using the Gargoyle form for all my harpies. -Schatten |

I heard in some discussion that epic level shifters could retain the bonuses from armor and boots an the like while in other forms. So this isn't going to happen? Dammit! Or maybe I'm just wrong. Hardly! Things never go the way I want them to go! AAAAARGH! It's so frustrating! |

One of the Devs stated that you could use a psionic abilitie. I think it was mind blast or something. You fire it off it stuns and damages the target |

Will the name tag above the shifted player have their name in it or will it change to a generic description of the creature shifted into? |
