4.01: What is a CD Key and why do I need to enter it here? (Back to Top)
The CD Key is the long number that came with your purchased copy of the game. You can use that CD Key to unlock the BioWare Neverwinter Nights Community Site as a fully registered Game Owner.
- If you are a Neverwinter Nights Game Owner, you have the option of entering your key during the sign up process.
- You can enter your CD Key in the 'My Account' under 'Edit Details' and finally 'Enter CD Key'. Make sure you are entering the CD Key exactly as printed.
- There is a limit to the number of times you may attempt to put a CD Key into the system. If you surpass it, we will block you from trying again for a time period.
4.02: What is a Profile? (Back to Top)
A Profile is a page that gives information about you that you have contributed. You will always have the option to display no information about yourself in your profile.
- We support the expandability of profiles. You can enter a detailed profile message for people, in addition to occupation and interests.
- You can view how many visits people have made to your profile (not including you)
4.03: What about Privacy? (Back to Top)
- We do not send unsolicited e-mail or give or sell your email address to anyone outside BioWare.
- You can choose to be a "hidden" user so that you do not show up on the 'Who's Online' page.
- By default your e-mail address is not shown to other users. You may change this setting if you wish in the My Account section
4.04: What about Time zones? (Back to Top)
- We do support different time settings, choose the correct setting for your area.
- We do not automatically change your time settings for Daylight Saving Time. You will only receive a warning to change your settings yourself.
- All times are in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) also known as UTC.
4.05. How come everyone else has a nice portrait and I don't? Include Me! Love me! (Back to Top)
- You can choose a portrait to be associated with your account from the Edit Details page under My Account.
- The portrait is global throughout the BioWare universe. Which means everyone on any BioWare site will see that picture when they view your profile.
- There are some portraits reserved for special users/groups and hence will not show up for you to choose.
4.06. I cannot login, it keeps telling me that I need cookies? (Back to Top)
Cookies are bits of information about your preferences your browser collects. Without them you will not be allowed to sign up or login as we need that information to maintain security. BioBoards attempts to set a cookie with your session information so that the system knows you are logged in. If it cannot set that cookie, it will not let you login. Sorry.
