I really like your stuff, Tenebrae. Very reminiscent of the facial expressions in H.R. Giger's work. The melding of different animal aspects evokes images of Clive Barker, but still looks very original.
I agree that they look like something one expects to see in a Silent Hill game. Creepy, yet still very cool.
From a technical perspective, I like how clean your art is and how smooth the lines are. The characters flow naturally from arachnid to manta to humanoid, and the various attitudes of the characters are clearly defined. Double-plus good!
Ever consider submitting a couple of samples to RPG publishers like Palladium Books or Chaosium? |

Amberyl Ravenclaw: Thank ya much Arang: Thank ya and yea, some of them were... Agony, Malice, Demon, Demon II, Demon III, and any demon with human like heads incorporated into their flesh are all Fleshcrafters...a type of demons that absorbs souls into their form making them a part of their body... The souls remain alive and self aware...but can only really moan out or scream due to the amount of pain the experience from the merge...and in turn the demon feeds off this.
NathanielDrago: Thank ya much, he was a fav of many.
Witchaerie Lamia: Thank ya, I am indeed attempting to better my style because I'm not pleased with my lack of angles and depth myself.
Stanley Woo: Thank you very much...I'll have to look up H.R. Giger, hear about him often in reference to my work but I don't know who he is. As for Clive Barker...to be compared to such a sadistic mind is a very great compliment. I actually would have loved to think of ideas for Silent Hill...always did adore that game along with Resident Evil. obz: Think I've been told that before as well hehe. _________________ "There's a fine line between reality and fantasy, but a far finer line exist between sanity and insanity." -Tenebrae

You ever seen the designs for the aliens in Aliens, or Sil in the Species movies. Those are based on Giger's work. he's got a more biomechanical style than you have displayed, but it's the same idea--an unholy combination of flesh and very organic machinery. Though his work is more adult in content. |
